The nursing department trains nurses responsible for the protection, development, care and treatment of the health of individuals, families and society, and the education period is 4 years.During this period, our students take theoretical and practical courses related to the nursing profession, as well as basic sciences and social sciences.
Depending on the content of the courses, the practices of the vocational courses are carried out in hospitals, maternal and child health and community health centers, nurseries, schools, workplaces and nursing homes.Our students complete the undergraduate program with a total of 240 ECTS in accordance with European Union standards.Our department provides service with an academic staff consisting of experienced academic staff.
Our students, who will lead nursing in the next century, are trained to work in hospitals, health centers, private health service institutions/organizations, schools, workplaces, institutions providing elderly care and home care services. In addition, our graduates can continue their professions independently by opening private health cabins. Our students can continue their education after graduation, provided that they pass the exams in the relevant education-training programs at universities, and receive scientific specialist and doctorate degrees, and continue their academic careers at the Faculty of Health Sciences Nursing Departments and Health Colleges, and receive the title of scientific specialist, doctor of science, associate professor, and professor. Our graduates can also work as nurses responsible for education, research, care and management services in many countries around the world due to the equivalence of their diplomas.
As of 2024, there are 532 students in the nursing department of our faculty, 45 of whom are foreign nationals. 1 Professor, 5 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, 2 Lecturers, and 6 Research Assistants are working in our nursing department.
